Description
Australe is made from a massale selection of Serine (ancient variety of Syrah) in Saint-Joseph and planted on clay and schiste in 2001.
It took 14 years for the vines to resume normal production, instead of the usual 7 years. That is how long it needed to adapt and settle in the deep layers of the soil. Today, Australe is a tactile, suave red, with fine tannins unfolding gracefully.
