50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir
Disgorged in April 2020 with 0.8 grams per liter dosage and complemented by 20% foudre-aged reserve wines, the NV Extra-Brut Grand Cru Le Terroir (2017 base) is Renoir's new release of this wine. Wafting from the glass with notes of pear, crisp green apple, citrus zest, buttered toast and blanched almonds, it's full-bodied, layered and racy, representing a step up in concentration and precision over the already very fine 2016 base. Renoir explains that he matured the vins clairs on the lees until July, so they saw four months of additional élevage before tirage.
