Location : Bordering Saint-Aubin, just above the 1er Cru ”Les Vergers”. Les Chaumées is derived from ”Chaume”, a Burgundian term referring to former fields that have been turned into wasteland.
Ageing : 12 months in oak barrels (between 20 and 25% new oak) and 3 to 6 months in vats.
Tasting : The wines are very fruity, floral and aromatic with lots of elegance. Very saline on the finish. Good tension and aromatic purity. Clean and direct citrus aromas and some delicate floral notes on the palate. This wine is both ample yet lively, fresh yet rich.
